About the Recipe
This is an easy recipe that can be made even easier by using up (finely chop or shredded) vegetables - anything works really (including brussels sprouts), or use my favorite trick and buy the coleslaw bags of raw veggies that comes in the refrigerator salad bags. It's just raw cabbage and carrots, shredded.

Ingredients
1 pound ground meat of your choice (beef, chicken, pork, turkey - any will work)
1/2 cup chopped onion (1 small onion, any kind works)
2 teaspoons fresh (grated) or dried ginger
4 cloves garlic, minced (4 teaspoons if using jarred)
16 ounce bag coleslaw mix (might be 2 bags, or you can shred fresh cabbage and 1 small carrot)
3 tablespoons soy sauce (low-salt is what I use)
1 teaspoon sesame oil (if you do not have this, use canola oil)
sesame seeds to sprinkle on top
cooked rice (jasmine is great, but any will work)
Preparation
In a skillet, brown the ground meat on medium heat, breaking it up with a wooden spoon as it cooks. You want the pieces of meat to be small. If any fat is in pan when the meat is done, drain it in a strainer. Return meat to pan.
Stir in chopped onions, ginger, minced garlic, and coleslaw mix and cook, stirring occasionally, until coleslaw looks limp. This is usually 6 or 7 minutes on medium heat.
Stir in soy sauce and oil and cook until heated through, 1 - 2 minutes. You can add more soy sauce if you want, 1 teaspoon at a time, until you get the flavor you want.
It's ready! Put cooked rice in your bowl and top with this mixture. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
